The School Board of Lee County Public Schools would like to say thank you to all the students that participated in the School Board Student Advisory Committee for the 2017-2018 school year. The School Board Student Advisory Committee formed in 2014-2015 school year to glean student input. The committee is comprised of more than 20 students that meet on a monthly basis throughout the school year. The purpose of the School Board Student Advisory Committee is to bring together representatives from each high school and each middle school for the purpose of forwarding issues and concerns of the students in the School District. Students asked questions concerning topics of discussion to staff members concerning their area of expertise. Students also had the opportunity to serve as the student representative during Regular School Board meetings. Next September students will be able to apply to become a Student Representative for their school at leeschools.net.
